Reference Rates

Reference Rates

An Adjacent reference rate is a benchmark from prediction-market data. Adjacent publishes it as a percentage. It is for comparison across venues, not for trading.

What a rate page contains

Each rate page has the value history and the usual range controls. It also has a description, a methodology, and the market sources. Related news appears when the public teaser returns a match.

How rates relate to indices

A rate and an index are both rules-based measures Adjacent calculates. A rate is one benchmark from its named market sources. An index is a weighted basket of event contracts. It has a constituent book and a published methodology.

How to access rate data

Rates are on the public JSON API. No authentication is required. They use the same 15-minute delayed snapshot as the indices and the market catalog.
